In Photographs, 2018
There was an idea that I wanted to explore regarding self-portraiture. There is an idea that the photographer and artist are behind the taking of the pictures, either self-timers, cable cords, or specific instructions to their assistants. With this book, I was curious on what pictures would come out if I gave a few of my closest friend the camera, with little to no instructions besides taking pictures, while I go on through my day as if I wasn't behind the lens. I wanted to make this personal and intimate, yet estranged, because it is about how my friends view me and chooses to capture my moments through the lens, something I had no control. over and examined throughout time editing the book together.
